HINDUISM is a word derived from the Sindhu river, which flowed in India, and it is where most of our Indian ancestors settled for daily needs. However, if you look into the scriptures and Vedas that our ancestors wrote, the word Hindu would be absent; instead, the word SANATANA DHARMA would be present throughout the scriptures. So what is sadhana dharma ?

Sanatana dharma is consist of two words SANATANA and DHARMA . SANATANA brings a meaning of eternal, and DHARMA brings a meaning of duties. So what does it say as a whole? Sanatana Dharma is eternal duty. What does eternal duties means actually? Eternal means long-lasting or forever, and duties bring a meaning of a work or a daily task. Indirectly Sanatana dharma brings a meaning of duties that we have to do for an extended period. I know! The next question that arose in your mind was how long should I perform these duties, and what are my duties?
சனாதன தர்மம் என்பது சனாதனம் மற்றும் தர்மம் என்ற இரண்டு சொற்களைக் கொண்டது. சனாதனம் நித்தியம் என்ற பொருளைக் கொண்டுவருகிறது, தர்மம் கடமைகளின் பொருளைக் கொண்டுவருகிறது. அப்படியென்றால் ஒட்டுமொத்தமாக என்ன சொல்கிறது? சனாதன தர்மம் நித்திய கடமை. நித்திய கடமைகள் உண்மையில் என்ன அர்த்தம்? நித்தியம் என்பது நீண்டகாலம் அல்லது நிரந்தரமானது, மேலும் கடமைகள் ஒரு வேலை அல்லது அன்றாடப் பணியின் பொருளைக் கொண்டு வருகின்றன. மறைமுகமாக சனாதன தர்மம் நீண்ட காலத்திற்கு நாம் செய்ய வேண்டிய கடமைகளின் பொருளைக் கொண்டுவருகிறது. எனக்கு தெரியும்! உங்கள் மனதில் எழுந்த அடுத்த கேள்வி, இந்தக் கடமைகளை நான் எவ்வளவு காலம் செய்ய வேண்டும், என்னுடைய கடமைகள் என்ன?
According to The Hindu ( click here for full text), the duties should be done until we reach moksha. If you are new to this term, moksha is when someone reaches god and stops their rebirth. So this means we have to perform those duties until we don't have any rebirth. If you ask me about my current mindset, do you believe is their rebirth? I myself could not answer the question because I have only experienced birth nor death, or rebirth. So now we have the answer for how long we need to perform the duties.
